June 2005

The May run was to Hollister Hill OHV park, fun was had by all! One could say though this was a rough run for the Samurai’s in the club because Tony wanted to show the group on how to make a 35” tire completely disappear into a seemingly small mud hole, vacuum plate and all. Not to be out done, Mark our beloved club secretary decided to show us how his samurai can shift into no-wheel drive!!! He managed to take off his mirror, do some body work via the ground, and toast some of his undercarriage parts. I don’t if you would agree with me but I think he is looking to take Art’s title of COW BELL KING!

Last month’s BOD was about club involvement in the officer’s positions. The discussion included the idea of term limits of officers. This was presented to the club at the regular meeting and was met with little excitement. It was felt that this would decrease over all participation instead of helping it.

June 5, 2005 was our annual installation dinner for the newly elected officers. Chicken, Ribs, and a fair of side dishes were on the menu at Art’s hanger. It was a great turn out. One thing is for sure if there is food involved the club will show up!

Yearly awards were handed out at the last club meeting and they were.
