Club Run Report:

The Windsor day parade and car show turned out to be ok this year, there were about 75 total vehicles. There were 6 Santa Rosa 4x4 entries.  Space was limited this year so our club didn’t have really enough space to set up like we would have liked.  We had a good number of people check out our club display, and there was info about the club for people to take if they were interested. People’s choice awards were as follows for the 4x4 division. Peter took 3rd place in his Toyota truck, Tony was awarded 2nd place, and Alan walked away with 1st place for the people’s choice. Congratulations everyone!

Blood run:

There will be a blood run on Thursday the 6th between 6-7pm, Mary Pizza after.

Adopt-A-Trail / Conservation:

Cory has asked to take over the Adopt-A-Trail/ Conservation duty. There is nothing to report at this time

Rubicon area Warning

Law enforcement is now in and around the areas of Rubicon riding the trails on quads enforcing the issues that have been a problem in the past in that area.  They are issuing tickets for non-registered rigs and checking for DUI as well as other things.  Just a reminder to be smart and don’t risk getting a DUI. Don’t drink and Drive!

Safety Committee

Dennis has taken the role of Mr. Safety.  His shirt with the Big “S” on the front is on order and hopefully he will have it soon. Dennis will be informing our Club of items that will keep us safe while enjoying the sport of 4 Wheeling.

Future Runs and Events:

Hollister Hills  June 7-8

Run A Muck –Club Run For July.

July 18-20 limited # of rigs this year, get your application online and get it sent in early, this is a great run; there is something for everyone.  Nice trail for beginners and advanced, trail games for the kids and adults, 4-5 winch hills with by-passes, we can’t forget Ball Pein!!! Only a couple people even make it each year up this hill.  And then there is the great BBQ dinner, entertainment, and the raffle. Lets go this year and get some Club awards like we used to.

Knoxville OHV  June 15th

Contact Rich if you want to drive up from Santa Rosa with him to discuss the leaving time, We will be meeting at the Gas station on the right just before Hidden Valley Lake outside of Middletown. Then heading to Knoxville OHV from there

BOD Meeting

The first BOD meeting since the change of new officers is scheduled for Thursday June 12th at 6:30 Pm.  All Board members are asked to come as well as any other members that want to show up. The primary reason for this meeting will be to get the books in line and cover any unfinished business.  The meeting will be at Jim’s house.  Call Jim for detailed directions if you need to. Some light snacks and refreshments will be available.

Cow Bell

There was no Cow Bell award for May.  I do have a feeling that the bell will leave the barn next month, Hollister should be a good trip for lots of cow bell nominations. Everyone keep your eyes open!
